POTTERY WORK
Couple To Go To Nelson (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug 14 A couple who have made pottery their life's work arrived on. the Johan van Oldenbarijevelt this morning. Behind them on a freighter is coming 15 tons of pottery machinery. For the last 16 years the couple. Mr and Mrs H. Davis, have lived at Crowan, Cornwall, and produced a product named after the village. One of their best markets was in New York. “We even sent out work to New Zealand before import controls stopped us,” said Mr Davis. They will go to Nelson where they think suitable material may be found. They hope to build up an export line. Mr and Mrs Davis are accompanied by their four children.
