Canada Goose Drive
Sir. —It would seem that a kind providence has again been on the side of the geese Will the Acclimatisation Society dare to fly in the face of public opinion by planning another drive in the breeding season? There are already many clutches of young birds at the lake The sensible course to take would be to await the results of the early shooting season proposed for harvest time, when all shooters would have a fair chance under sporting conditions This early season might well prove a satisfactory permanent solution to the problem of goose numbers —Yours, etc.. HONKER August 11, 1962.
