CULVERDEN TOURNEY
A full field contested the Culverden Golf Clubs annual tournament in bitterly cold weather on Saturday. In spite of the conditions, however, J Monk, winner of the senior event, returned scratch figures of 34 for one round of the ninehole course. Results were:— Senior—36 holes gross: J Monk 147: T Monk, 149. 36 holes net: G Sanson, 140; W Warwick. 143. Morning net: L. H Davison. 71, on a count-back from K Purver Afternoon net W Cann. 70; B. Brownie. 71. on a count-back from D Palmer. Junior.—36 holes gross: K Manning 177. B «McLintock, 180 36 holes net: C. Whalley. 139; R. Taylor 141.
