3 Days Of Meeting Attendance and betting figures for the final day of the Grand National meeting on Saturday were badly affected by heavy rain. But although there was a drop of £42 060 in on-course betting on Saturday the total for the meeting was still up on last year when there was heavy rain before the second day On-course betting for this year’s meeting was £295 668 10s. an increase of £8747 on last year's total of £286921 lift Off-course investments on the meeting dropped £7344 —from £517.439 !0s to £510.194 10s The damage was done on Saturday when strong early favourites like Golden Defaulter and Gold View and Daysun were scratched for major races on the card Five of the earded field of 11 dropped out of the Lincoln S'eeples. and the Sydenham Hurdles was also a twodividend race when Daysun. Lord Pilate, and Bennie were scratched Altogether 36 horses were taken out of the fields for the third-day programme.
