LONDON, Aug. 1. A young New Zealander, Mrs Diana Mellor (formerly Diana Moore, of Wellington), who, came to England on a shoestring 10 years ago and has since married an Englishman. is anxious to help other young New Zealanders who want to come to Britain. Dismayed by the new Imre .grat ion Act, which stipulates that persons coming from the Commonwealth to Britain must prove that they have funds sufficient to cover their stay, or have a definite job to go to. Mrs Mellor felt compelled to do something to help these young New Zealanders. Making Arrangements She is now making arrangements with business houses in Britain which are prepared to employ New Zealanders for long or short periods, and are also prepared to await their arrival The whole idea was sparked off by friends writing from New Zealand to ask if she knew of any suit-
able positions, and Mrs Mellor felt that she could do useful work in this direction Mrs Mellor has two small daughters and plans to conduct the scheme with the help of other friends with young families, each taking a turn in minding the children.
