PROTEST ON FASCISM

Jews Picket P.M.’s House (N.ZP.A.-Reuter —CspyripM) LONDON, Aug 8. About 50 members of six north and west London Jewish youth organisations tonight picketed Admiralty House, the Prime Minister’s London residence, as a protest against Fascist groups in Britain. They handed in a letter addressed to the Prime Minister (Mr Macmillan) which said: “The whole country pleads with you to use the powers that have been bestowed on you by the people to stamp out Fascism before it once again leads the world to death and destruction.” One of the organisers, Mr Sammy Fine, aged 24, a commercial artist, told reporters: “Young Jewish people here in Britain do not fear anything like gas chambers. But they do fear that their mothers or their sisters may not be able to walk alone safely in the streets unless something is done now.”
