TELEVISION SATELLITE.—Two officials of the Hughes Aircraft Company, Culver City, California, display a model of a proposed communications satellite which would make possible continuous, world-wide television programmes instead of the present brief, periodic broadcasts. The company is working under a Government contract from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (N.A.S.A.). Three of the high-altitude satellites, "parked” in designated areas of space, could blanket the earth for communications.
