U.K. Troops To Train In Australia
(N.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) CANBERRA, August 7. The Australian Defence Minister (Mr Athol Townley), tonight confirmed reports that the British War Office planned to send a battalion from a United Kingdom base to Australia late in 1963. He said the British proposal was for the battalion to have about six weeks training at formation level with units of the Australian Arm”.
