Davis Cup Man At Singapore (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. August 8. The New Zealand Davis Cup team member. R. N Hawkes, of Wellington, who is in hospital in Singapore, is expected to be admitted to hospital in Auckland tomorrow evening. His parents received advice this morning that a plane is waiting to fly him to Sydney tonight. Providing he is rested and not unduly fatigued, he will be flown to Auckland tomorrow and admitted to hospital for specialist treatment. . Hawkes contracted a serious Illness in Ipoh. Malaya, and was flown to Singapore. For a period he was in a critical condition. , , _ Mr and Mrs Hawkes left Wellington today for Auckland.
