Gaming House Appeal Fails

("N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 8. An appeal by William Robertson Hislop, aged 43, against a sentence of three months’ imprisonment on a charge of keeping a common gaming house was dismissed by Mr Justice Leicester in the Supreme Court today. His Honour said that Hislop had been sentenced to a month’s imprisonment on another gaming offence He had lodged an appeal against that sentence and. while on bail pending the appeal, he had committed the present offence.
