Concern In Australia (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) UMTDON, August 8, Australia was seriously concerned by a British suggestion the country should consider changing to driving on the right-hand side of the road, the "Daily Telegraph" said today. “Australia believes that Britain wants to achieve "car construction uniformity” if she enters the Common Market, the newspaper said, in a report from its Sydney correspondent. It said it was generally agreed in Australia there would be “tremendous problems’* in such a change. All members of the Six drive on the right-hand side of the road. One of the aims of the Common Market is uniformity in transport policy and practice. Britain’s Minister of Transport (Mr Marples) has said he will consult Australia and New Zealand about any change in Britain which may come as a result of the negotiations to enter the Common Market.
