Warning In Canada

(N.Z Press Assn.—Copyright) OTTAWA, \ugust 8 Canadian doctors and chemists will receive a “warning letter” from health authorities telling them of possible side effects on women of two oral contraceptives. The director of the Food and Drug Division of the Federal Health Department. Dr. C. A. Morrell, said the letter was the usual procedure after reports that a particular drug caused sideeffects. But he said that there was no evidence that the drugs could cause thrombophlebitis —blood clots that can lead to death.
