CAR TRAPPED ON BEACH
Submerged Under Three Tides (N’.Z. Press Association) WHANGAREI, Aug. 6 A car cauviht in soft sands near The Bluff on Sunday maroirsg was still trapped today after having been submerged under three tides. The car is owned by an Auckland visitor, Mr T. C. Dixon. Heavy seas which pounded rt»e Northland coast last week had made stretches of the 99-mlle beach soft and uneven. Further efforts were made this morning to salvage the now badly damaged vehicle, a heavy late-model English car.
