Beckenham I Easy Winner Beckenham I, last year's winner, finished three points ahead of any other team when the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association's winter inter-club competition concluded at Wilding Park on Saturday. Beckenham I remained unbeaten, winning its matches against every other team In the first round and beating three of them again in the second round. With Beckenham's position assured—it beat University I without the loss of a match—there was a more Interesting battle lor second position. Before Saturday three teams. University 1. Beckenham ruined University's chance and Barrington I beat North Linwood by 4 matches to 2 In the other matches Avonside beat Beckenham II by 5 matches to 1. and University II beat Barrington II bv 4 matches to 2 Spievdon defaulted to Redcllffs.
