S. Crookenden beat the Hong Kong champion. Ip KoonHung. 6-4. 6-3: R. N. Clarke and J Souter beat K. S. Cneur.g and L. Hsu. 6-0, 7-5; and Miss Ann Smith and Miss P. Belton beat Tsui Yuen-Yuen and Maiste Lai. 6-3. 6-2. The only New Zealander n. trouble was Miss E. Green who lost the first set. 8-6. to Miss C. Lum, who will represent Nationalist China in tne Asian Games. The second set was abandoned because of bad light
