Deerstalkers’ Opposition (N.Z. Press Association) MASTERTON. Aug. 3. New Zealand deerstalkers today attacked the Government on extermination of big game animals introduced into the country. A Wellington branch remit passed by the fourteenth annual conference of the New Zealand Deerstalkers’ Association i-n Masterton opposed the policy of extermination At the same time, the remit said, the association would co-operate with the Forest Service in any operation which was in accord with the association’s objects Mr W A Hood, of Marlborough, the association’s president, in his opening address, had reminded the 120 delgates of a recent speech by the Duke of Edinburgh ooposing the extermination of wild lif? throughout the world

He “agreed entirely" with the Duke, said Mr Hood.
