E.L.D.O. Agrees To Trials (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CANBERRA, Aug. 3. The European Launcher Development Organisation had reached agreement on work schedules and a trials programme for the Woomera rocket range, the Minister for Supply <Mr Allen Fairhall’ announced today. He announced agreement at the conclusion today of a two-week visit by a technical mission led by General P. Girardin. of France, who is a director of E.L.D.O.’s initial programme. Members of the mission represented the United Kingdom. France. Western Germany, Italy. Holland. and Belgium. Mr Fairhall said General Girardin was confident of achieving the objectives of E L’l.O.'s first programme under which member countries would spend £7O million. He said the initial programme would culminate in the launching of three-stage satellites for non-military and scientific purposes The first firings were scheduled for 1983
