BRUCE AND ALLIANCE
50 p.c. Accept Offer (NJ? Press Association) ■' DUNtDtH. August 1. The majority of shareholders of the Bruce Woollen Manufacturing Company Ltd., have indicated they are in favour of the proposed merger with Alliance Textiles. Ltd.
This was announced today by Alliance Textiles. Shareholders holding more than 50 per cent, of the ordinary and preference share capital of Bruce have now forwarded their acceptances ~of the Alliance offer. There are still two weeks until the closing date for acceptances. Alliance does not have to oroceed with the merger unless acceptances are received from 90 per cent of the shareholders of Bruce.
