SIR SIDNEY HOLLAND

Party’s Tribute "The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON. July 20 Acknowledgement of the part played by Sir Sidney Holland in raising the National Party to its present position in New Zealand politics, is made in the report of the party’s Dominion Council which will be presented at the annual Dominion conference tomorrow. It says: "It is with deep regret that the council records the death of the National Party's first Prime Minister, one whose wisdom and leadership meant a tremendous amount to the development of the party both in its later years in Opposition in the forties, and in the nearly eight years he was Prime Minister."
