Remembering several inconveniences caused by heavy rain ano other factors on their las’ visit four years ago. members of the group stood by on the steamer express wharf this morning as some of their property was unloaded from the ship which had brought them from Ly’tel’on during the night The first bitch occurred when a cable being used to transfer the equipment from the boat to the wharf snapped as soon as strain was applied The resultant delay prevented the group's property from being delivered at the Opera House where it was reouired before 3 n m for an 8 o m npenine During the delay prepara tions for ’he show were beins made on 'he s’ase of the Opera House These included the raising of the

heavy fire curtain which is constructed of a thick insulating material. The curtain had no sooner been raised than its supporting cable snapped and it crashed to the stage It was r aised at 3.5 pm

There was another delay while final preparations were being made and the show beean at 83 s pm Then the lights on the two pianos in the orchestra pit fused With the pianists straining to read their music by the stray light from the stage the show finally went on
