Appointment
Of Five

LONDON, July 10. A comptroller, three aides de camp, and a lady-in-waitlng will be members of the staff of Brigadier Bernard Fergusson, Governor-General Designate and Mrs Fergusson when they take up their appointment in November.
The comptroller will be Major Michael Reynolds, of the Royal Marines, formerly a commando, who recently was Naval Attache in Burma. Major Reynolds. whose mother comes from Ayrshire, is 42. He is married and his two daughters are aged 11 and 8.
The aides de camp will be Lieutenant-Commsnder Peter Gibaut, R.N. (32); Captain Timothy Usher, of the Black Watch (20); and Captain the Honorable John Dewar, of the Black Watch (24). Lieutenant-Commander Gibaut, who comes from the Channel Islands, escaped with his mother and sisters when the Germans invaded during the last war. His last appointment was Flag Lieutenant. Captain Usher, who comes from Argyle, and Captain Dewar, who eomes from Perth, are both from Brigadier Fergusson’s old regiment. The lady-in-waiting will be Lady Elisabeth* Waldegrave. daughter of the Earl Waldegrave, Under-Secretary of State for Agriculture, and a niece of Mrs Fergusson. Brigadier ana Mrs Fergusson, who sail for Wellington in the Rangitane on October 5, will be accompanied by their seven-year-old son, George. Before sailing they will have a busy fortnight in London when, among other engagements they will be guests of the New Zealand Society at a dinner on September 26.
