QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be a graduate tn Engineering from a recognised University and should have had experience in the construction and designing of civil works and in the direction and control of labour and the use of modern construction plant. The Engineer will be responsible for a wide varietv of engineering functions including design, construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, water supply, sewerage quarries, drainage and earth and concrete weirs and 'experience in these and related fields should be stated. Townsville is the second City of Queensland (population 1961 Census 51.224) and is carrying out an extensive programme of developmental works include a £3.000,000 sewerage scheme.
