CATTLE FOR U.S.

A.A. Yearlings From Bay

(N.Z. Press Association)

HASTINGS, July 10.

Three yearling Aberdeen Angus bulls and two yearling heifers, worth about £6OOO, have been purchased by an American from Hawke’s Bay srtuids. The cattle .Will sail to the United States in the German freighter Cap Ortegal. The New Zealand Aberdeen Angus Cattle Breeders’ Society is hopeful the shipment will be the forerunner of an important export trade. “We have had three American buyers out here this year and we are very thrilled about the sales that have been made,” Mr J. P. Tylee, of Elsthorpe, president of the society, said today. “If these cattle do well in America it will be a great boost for the breed.” The cattle will be held in quarantine for 30 days at Honolulu and then shipped to their new home on the Garrett Aberdeen Angus ranch in Colorado.
