Of each ss. 2s 48d comes back and 2s 72d is kept back On £lOO investors get £4B and lose £52; £lOO in the Post Office would be £lO3 in a year. Sir.—l read today that grants from Golden Kiwi lottery profits have been made to individual towns as follows: Dunedin. £lO,OOO (museum); Hamilton, £5OOO (Y.W.C.A.); Waitemata, £lOOO (athletic club): Oamaru. £2OOO (swimming pool). Has the Christchurch City Council thought of putting in an application for £lO.OOO towards the building of the town hall?— Yours, etc..
