Betting At Washdyke
Betting figures on the course ait the South Canterbury Jockey Club’s meeting at Washdyke on Saturday were lower than on the corresponding day last year. Saturday's total was £22,143 including £2503 on the double, compared with £25,230 on the second day of the winter meeting in 1961. However, the total on-course-turnover for the two days rose by £4196. This year's total was £51.074 10s, compared with £46,878 10s.
