10 HURT IN COLLISION

Car And Truck Involved (N.Z Press Association) PALM. NORTH. July 8. Ten people were injured on Saturday morning when a car and truck collided at Half-Crown bend on the main Palmerston North-Foxton highway.

Those injured in the truck are Mr L. V. Billington. Mrs J Billington. Sheryl Billington. aged 12. and Bruce Billington. aged 10. The family is visiting from Trentiham. Those injured in the car are Platon Mackres. Mrs Rose Mackres and their children Arcimedes, aged 9. Alexis, aged 4. Anastasous and Xenopon Platon, whose ages are unknown. They are residents of Lincoln street, Ashhurst.

The car was badly damaged, and the front axle assembly of the truck was also damaged. It was believed that the truck caught the impact of the collision on the right-hand front mudguard. The hospital reported tonight that the condition of the injured persons was quite satisfactory.
