Old Pupils Form Association About 200 former pupils of the Cashmere High Schoo 1 have formed an old pupils’ association. An interim committee was elected by the members of the association, which will be under the sponsorship of the parent-teacher association until it is able to stand on its own.

It is expected that in the meantime the new association's activities will be mainly social and sporting. Ultimately the association hopes to give financial and other assistance to school protects. The vice-president of the Cashmere High School Par-ent-teacher Association (Mr R. B. Knowles) was in the chair. The principal (Mr T. H McCombs) said that the school would be prepared to assist the new association by placing facilities at its disposal. The committee elected is: Messrs G Taylor (convener). P. Schmitz. D. Haigh. J. Blunt, D. Falloon, D. Courtier, and Misses L. Brash, M. Tweed, A. Colville. L. Calder. J. Robinson, and J. MacFarlane.
