Few impressed more than Grand Couer, which looks one of the beet hopes from here on the flret day. He galloped a food six furlongs with Swinorook. which came from Foxton to work Sam«. Heythorpe. Kina’s Fun Flockhart and Kenloch all worked solidly over around, and Elrey and Salt Sprav were associated in a good trial over five furlongs. On the No 1 grass, w-hich was wet. Grand Couer (Foster and the Foxton visitor. Swlnbrook (Taylor) left six furlongs behind in Imin 19sec. the last three in 38 l-ssee. They came home ttronglv. It was a good effort. Sams! (Mahoney) left nix furlongs behind in Imin 18 3-ssec the last three m 40jsec She handled the conditions well Kenloch i Mahoney > seemed tc have the edge on Sable Knr (Hulsne) all the way over six furlongs In Imin 20 4-ssec. the last three in 40 3-ssec For a hurdler Kenloch was Impressive. He should run well In the Trentham Hurdles Not Certain Starter Heythorpe (Foster) ran from the mile in the good time o: Imin 43eec the last six tn Imlr 18 l-seec. He galloped next tc the rails but hit out well He is still not a certain starter tn the Vittoria Hack Hurdles A definite decision will be made on Friday. FTockhart (Green) Jumped two hurdles well, then ran •even furlongs with Onekaka (Lewis) in Imin 37 3-ssec. the list six tn Imin 22 !-ssec and the final three in 4! 4-ssec Weradon (McGovern) and Far Step (dements) ran very easily over six furioncs in Im‘n Msec the first and last three in 43sec Count Un <Hndren) ran a mile tn Imtn 57sev. the las’ three tn 42sec He went eas’lv and could have done better Count Un is in the Trentham Hurdles. There was nothing between Salt Spray and El ev 'Mullane) at the finish of five furlones in Imin 5 l-ssec. the last three in 39 l-ssec Erey vent better than he did on Tuesday After jumping two hurdles •afely Diavolo (McGovern) ran easily over five furlongs in Imin 9 2-ssec the last three Ayi 40 Kina's Fun (Mulbne) was far too rood for Shsh Jahan (Mahonev) over seven fur lon'S He won by three lengths after taking imin 37sec the last three tn 40 3-ssec.
