An Invercargill man has a big sum of money to give away, and he believes thapeople in many parts of New Zealand ma* be eligible to share in it. He is Mr C L. Costello, who is secretary of the Anderson Trus‘ Board. The trust was set up several years ago from the proceeds f land gifted to the Crown by the late Sir Robert Anderson The fund, which totalled about £7OOO. was invested with the Treasury. Grants are available to widows and orphans under 16 of former Southland servicemen. or to wives and children of Southland servicemen who are now mental defectives There was no residential qualification, said Mr Costello. He considered there would probably be people who had left Southland, but were still eligible for assistance.
