Merit Award For Policeman
(N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE,-July 4. The presentation of a certificate of merit to DetectiveSergeant B. H. Constable, the Gisborne C. 1.8. chief, was made by Chief Inspector C. A. G. Mcßae at a Gisborne police parade The award was made as a result of Detective-Sergeant Constable's work in connexion with the theft of a safe containing £3OO from the Majestic Theatre, Gisborne He traced and arrested three safebreakers in a remote area and the safe and £246 of its contents were recovered.
