Dr. Finlay Not Standing

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. July 4. Dr. A. M. Finlay, president of the New Zealand Labour Party, has decided not to contest the Auckland Mayoralty at the local body elections in October. He had been asked by local Labour Party members to accept nomination as a Labour candidate. Dr. Finlay said he felt obliged to decline the requests.
