The Bishop in Polynesia (the Rt. Rev J C. Vockler) arrived in Auckland last night on a six weeks' visit to dioceses of the Anglican Church throughout New Zealand.—(P.A.)

The Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch (the Most Rev. E. M. Joyce) left for Suva yesterday to preside at the ordination to the priesthood of four Fijian students in the Catholic Cathedral. Suva, on Sunday. He will return to Christchurch on July 12. Mr M. Hewitson. senior inspector of post-primary schools at Auckland, and Mr W. J R Osborne, also of Auckland, will represent New Zealand at the conference of the Institute of Inspectors of Schools in Australia and New Zealand, to be held in Sydney in August—(P.A.) Mr G. W. L. Fairhall has been appointed health inspector of the Paparua County Council, and will take up the post on August 1.
