Stronger Trend To Overseas Shares

Overseas shares followed a stronger trend in trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, while New Zealand shares weakened. Among overseas issues there were nine rises and three falls.

Best gains among New Zealand shares were made by Dunlop, Sharland and Scales. Other shares to gain ground were N.Z.F.C. A preference, K.P. Drug, L. D. Nathan, McKenzies rights and Rickstan. Overseas shares made no big gains but among the shares that improved were C.8.A., Ampol, Clyde Industries, Cox Brothers, Factors, G. J. Coles. Reid Murray, Waltons and Woolworths.
