Parliament’s Diary
After very brief formal business Parliament last night began the Budget debate. The speakers were:— Opposition: Mr A H Nordmeyer (Island Bay), Mr W W Freer (Mount Albert) Government: The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake), the Minister of Works i Mr Goosman). The House rose at 10 30 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. today.
