Throughout the Western world, and beyond its borders, widespread sympathy has been aroused by Sir Winston Churchill’s misfortune. Happily, there appear good grounds for supposing that the characteristic Churchillian forti-
tude will prove equal to its latest and perhaps most unkind test. All New Zealanders, but most especially those whose memories encompass the Second World War, will wish Sir Winston Churchill a speedy and complete recovery.
