Obituary MOTHER MARY COLUMBA

Mother Mary Columba Naughton, of St. Joseph’s Convent, Lyttelton, who died on Monday, was ’ born at Crean in Limerick. Ireland. She was 86. Well known for her teaching ability, Mother Mary Columba Naughton, arrived in Lyttelton in 1894. She was an original member of the Sisters of Mercy at Lyttelton.

In addition to teaching at Lyttelton. Mother Mary Columba Naughton taught for many years in Akaroa, Methven and Rakaia.
