Formerly well known as an active rower in New Zealand and more recently as an Australian bowls representative, Mr Walter Beaumont recently arrived in England, partly on business and partly to attend the annual Henley regatta from July 4 to July 7. Mr Beaumont, overseas manager for firms dealing in racing boats, oars, and sails, is a Henley “regular,” and a close associate of the Australian sculler, S. A. Mackenzie. After attending the Empire Games in Perth, Mr Beaumont expects to make a further visit to New Zealand in January and February. —London Correspondent.
