RICCARTON PLAYERS
Three One-Act Plays Planned The Riccarton Players, a group reconstituted from the former Riccarton Repertory, will present three one-act plays in the Riccarton Town Hall on July 2,3, and 4. The plays will be produced by Taura Henderson who has been associated with the Elmwood Players and the Southern Comedy Players. The plays are "Come Home My Children” by Margaret Turner,' “They Call After Dark” by Anthony Booth and "Fancy Free" by Stanley Houghton, the first two being dramas, and the last a comedy. The president of the group (Mrs J. Eggleton) said that the Riccarton Repertory group had found it difficult to get producers and that its productions had been presented in a church hall to members and friends. Mrs Eggleton said that the new group would be non-profit-making and profits from the first production would be given to benefit the new aged people’s club in Riccarton.
