A real-life thriller 17 years ago is to have a pleasant sequel this northern summer, when Mrs Ada Fischer, a 67-year-old Hanover woman, will spend a holiday in Scotland as the guest of the man whom she rescued near the end of World War II
When George Pringle was trying to avoid capture by German soldiers. Mrs Fischer took him into her home, sheltered him and provided him with food until his escape six weeks later Today at the age of 48 he is a factory worker in Edinburgh, while Mrs Fischer sells newspapers in Hanover They have corresponded for many years, and now Mr Pringle wants to show his appreciation by giv. ing Mns Fischer a holiday in Scotland.
