Country Papers' Competition
(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, June 24. The fourth annual conference of the New Zealand Country Newspapers’ Assocition began at Wairakei this morning, with 22 of the 38 newspapers represented. The “Taupo Times” featured in the better newspapers' competition results announced today, winning the editorial leadership, best all round, best front page and supplement sections. The “Akaroa Mail” was second to the “Opotiki News" in the journalism section.
