Family Of Five (N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, June 24. A family of five children, the eldest aged five, was rescued from a burning house at Ko-toiti tiiis evening. One of the children, Pirimoana Taki. aged four suffered minor burns to the face and was taken to Rotorua Hospital. „ The J nother of the children, T. Taki, was visiting neighbours at the time of the fire She suffered burns to the face when she helped to rescue the children. Mr Taki is away on holiday. The children were later taken to the home of their grandfather. Police believe the rescuers, whose names are not known, are from Kawerau.

One fire engine from Rotorua attended the blaze. The house was destroyed.
