Proposed School Crossing Patrol

(From . Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON. June 14. The Minister of Transport (Mr McAlpine) agreed today to accompany the member of Parliament for St. Albans (Mr H. J. Walker) on an inspection of a site proposed by Mr Walker for a school crossing patrol near the Briggston school. The Minister said that in view of the traffic volume he had not been able to waive the regulations and approve the establishment in this case. He had been advised that the volume of traffic was too small.
