First Meeting Of Unique Body

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 15

Thirty men attended the first meeting of the newlyformed Pamir Association in Auckland tonight. The men, who came from all parts of the Auckland province, all at some stage sailed in the four-masted barque Pamir. The association was the only one of its kind in the country, and was the only Pamir Association in the world, said the secretary (Cantain G. N. Dunsford) The 3100-fon Pamir sailed under the New Zealand flag from 1941 to 1948 after being seized as a prize of war at Wellington.
