SIGNALS TROPHY FOR WIGRAM

Presentation By Association

A new signals trophy was handed over to the commanding officer of the Flying Training Wing (Wing Commander M. S. Gunton) at the Royal New Zealand Air Force station, Wigram, yesterday afternoon. To be known as the Sir Robert Clank Hall Trophy it was handed over informally by the president of the Christchurch branch of the Air Force Association (Mr R. E. Clark). The trophy, which stands about lOin high, features a globe with a signaller’s brevet mounted on top. It will be awarded in future to the best signaller cadet graduating from each aircrew course held at the station. The trophy is named after the patron of the Christchurch branch of the association.
