Obituary MRS A. G. JULIUS

The death occurred recently of Mrs Alice Georgiana Julius. Mrs Julius was the widow of a former Dean of Christchurch, the late John Awdry Julius, and the eldest daughter of the late Archdeacon and Mrs Croasdaile Bowen. Born in Riccarton, Mrs Julius attended the private school, run by her mother, which later became St. Margaret’s College. Mrs Julius devoted much of her life to the Church She held office in the Mothers' Union for many years, and took an active part in parish and diocesan work Greatly interested in music. Mrs Julius also shared her husband's interests and hobbies.

The couple lived for a time at Timaru. and on Dean Julius’s retirement, went to live at St Andrew's Hill. Christchurch. Mrs Julius was 81 when she died.

MRS S. WORRALL

The death occurred recently of Mrs Susan Worrall, in her hundredth year. Mrs Worrall was born in Liverpool. She and her husband, Mr Henry Worrall, came to New Zealand in 1900. They had four children, of whom three are still living. There are four grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. Mr and Mrs Worrall celebrated their seventy-second wedding anniversary three years ago. Mr Worrall died in 1960.
