DISABLED YACHT
Brisbane Toiv Today (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) BRISBANE. June 13. • The British yacht Diana, towed to a seaside resort north of Brisbane yesterday after drifting disabled for 18 days, will be .towed to Brisbane tomorrow.
On board the 43-foot yacht were its 70-year-old skipper. Norman Egerton Young, a former Controller General of the National Debt Office of Britain: “Nobby” Ralphs, aged 45, a New Zealand importer and exporter; Arthur Giles, the yacht’s engineer, of Plymouth: and Robert Silver, aged 35. of Los Angeles, a former United States Marine. The Diana was dismasted 150 miles off the Queensland coast by a sudden storm, which also disabled her engine and radio. Her distress signals were sighted yesterday' by a pleasure cruiser returning from the Great Barrier Reef. The cruiser towed the disabled yacht to Mooloolaba. north of Brisbane. She is being prepared today for the tow to Brisbane.
