COMMERCIAL Recovery By N.Z. Shares Yesterday
New Zealand shares were firmer in trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, after the previous day’s hesitation. Among the leaders, there were twice as many rises as falls.
Wellington Woollen, in first business since May 7, rose 4s to sell at 30s. Auckland Gas gained 7d on Monday’s price.
Overseas shares were uneven, with more falls than rises. Most price movements were narrow.
