Church Work At Hanmer

There was a limit to the work that a layman could do at the Queen Mary Hospital at Hanmer Springs, said Mr V. Grainger at a meeting of the Christchurch Presbytery. Mr Grainger has been a ’lay

preacher at Hanmer for nine months, and is returning to his home in Soctland. There should be someone in residence at Hanmer Springs able to administer the sacraments to patients, Mr Grainger said. It was lime that all churches examined their responsibilities in the area. At the moment the Presbyterian worker ministered to all Nonconformist denominations.
