THE NEW THAMES TRADER range of tracks with improved driver comfort has been announced by Ford. Special wide doors and a low sill are said to give easy entry, and the cab is mounted on rubber to insulate it from noise and vibration. A sloping bonnet gives good visibility and large mirrors and a big rear window assist in this. The gearbox driving to a single speed differential has synchromesh only on the top three ratios.
