U.K. Aircraft Exports

LONDON. The value of the British aircraft industry’s exports in 1961 amounted t* £149.200.000. of which £B3 million—easily a record—was accounted for by the sale of aero-engines and £58,800.000 by aircraft Mies. Since the war. the industry has exported goods worth £1,233.800.624, half of which has been earned during ths past three years. The total for 1061, which represented 9 per cent, of United Kingdom exports if engineering products, was the third highest ever recorded and compares with the record 1950 total of £156 million.
